Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Here we are in the middle of celebrating the most wonderful time of the year. Mary and I would like to wish all of you a most joyful Christmas and God's blessings in abundance in the year ahead. We encourage you to keep Christ in the center of all your Christmas celebrations. Remember, withouth Christ, not only would there be no Christmas, but there would be no hope of heaven for those of us who were born in sin (that would be all of us). Jesus didn't come so that we would have a beautiful nativity scene portrayed under our Christmas tree. He came so tha we would have the assurance of heaven through His death and resurrection.
This Christmas we invite you to come and worship with the wonderful church family here at the Lake Powell Church of the Nazarene. Our Choir will be bringing us a special Christmas message in music on Sunday, December 14. Sunday, December 21, I will be preaching the message "Bringing Jesus The Best Gift" in the morning service. In the evening we will go Christmas caroling together, then we will host our annual open house at the parsonage from 7:00-9:00pm. Christmas Eve will be a special Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 6:00pm.
Our prayer is that you will find God to be more real and active in your life in 2009 than ever before. We invite you to make our church your church home in the new year as we celebrate His love and grace in the year ahead. Let the friendly people of The Lake Powell Church become your church family.
